Stopped in with some friends for a quick bite. My first time in. Got a cheese pizza with burnt edges, only way to go. Lemme tell you, if you get Julie as your server you are in GREAT hands, she is funny, quick and super personable which def made our dining experience top notch. She rocks!!! It was super busy when we arrived so took a little while. Pizza was good, the edges were the Rockstar. It was like an extra cheese pizza, more than i would have thought. I did need to dab off the excess oil but the flavor was great! A cool local bar that really has something special going on!!!
Ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas -1 with burnt edges, 1 crispy. After waiting 50 minutes, my burnt edge pizza arrived totally scorched and the 'crispy' pizza appears to be an ordinary pepperoni. Big disappointment.
After driving by this place many times over the years and always seeing the parking lot full we decided to try it. There was a long wait but we expected that. The place was full and pretty small. Large bar. Maybe 12 or so tables and booths. Got a table and ordered pizzas. Took about 45 minutes to get our food. Way too long as the restaurant was slowly clearly out. The pizzas looked good but had zero flavor and very greasy. We were surprised that they really were flavorless. No seasonings. Nothing. Very disappointing from a place that has been there for about 50 years and is a local hangout. We figured it must have great food. Nope. The spicy french fries also had no spice. They had some type of coating but nothing tasting spicy. Just plain french fry taste. They give plastic utensils a
Classic new england pub/restaurant with way above average food. Big rectangle bar. Plenty of tables. Mix of locals, couples and families. Plenty of TVs. Historic feel. You would be lucky to have this as your neighborhood bar. Buff wings ordered extra crispy were quite good.
Ordered a bar pizza - was told 25 minutes, took 30 so not bad. Bad part was old dough was used to make my pizza and it was flat and chewy and was wicked yeasty flavored. Zero lacing and very underwhelming. Cheese and sauce were tasty but that was it. Bartender was super nice and the bar is always a great spot to hang out and had a beer.
