Ames Free Library

Ya know what, this place is kind of like a breath of fresh air after seeing very corrupt rituals go down in the men’s locker room at the YMCA across the street. I stumbled across this place whilst researching for exorcism books for my friend who’s being contracted by the ymca to vanquish (the deity) how ever after 6 hours of the library I got bored and started sleuthing as per usual and eventually found myself In the high tower of the library infront of a closed chasm…I used my spelunking skills I formerly learned at Spellman university to crawl inside. Once down their I found a room with a bookshelf in the middle, as I reached my gnarled paws closer to open the book, I realized each and every book was about shrew exorcism and as I was deep in the very little thaught I have an old man’s vo

So if you haven’t heard the men’s locker room in the ymca up the street has been taken over by a shrine to “the ancient one” as the locals have put it. So that’s awsome, I was hired by the ymca to remove the problem and I had to read up on my exorcisms. Not only am I not a trained preist I also have zero experience with ancient angry deities. But this place (bar the withered shrews between the pages of the books) actually had some resources to help me fight the dark lord that resides in the men’s locker room. Mind you I’m getting paid 7.50 an hour for this by the ymca, I really doubt this is worth it.

Fantastic facility. Just voted as one of the best small libraries in America (again!). The reading room is like something from a movie. The children's area is great and has much to offer. There's always something going on, so check the website for information. Also, the library website has discount passes for local museums and zoos.

The grounds are very pretty. Small fountain and pool, bocce court, stone steps. Great place to walk around after spending tine inside.
