The food here is amazing! Burgers are so juicy with the perfect sear/crust. So many great hamburger combos on the menu or build your own! Fries are golden brown and come with a spicy seasoning if you want or go all out and get them with gravy and cheese (poutine). Make sure to try their shakes, lots of typical choices and a maple choice that is straight up VT! There are so many ways to enjoy the wonderful menu! The folks here have always been so nice and the food comes out quickly! Not a ton going on inside the dining room, tables and chairs are clean and available but come for the food, not a candlelight atmosphere. Love this place, wish we were closer and could enjoy it more often!

The experience started once we opened the door. The atmosphere is a very nice 1960s-esque diner with classic music. The menu was well done and the cashier was welcoming. We got the all-American and Woodsman burgers and they were phenomenal. The bacon on the burger was crispy enough to not have the whole slice come out with a bite but not burnt. I ordered a shamrock shake that was fantastic. We drove up from CT to attend a workshop but I'd drive through a blizzard just for Buddy's burgers.

we absolutely love it here. You can tell a lot of care has gone into the whole establishment. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are just so delicious!! Plus, great portion sizes. Their fries are (in my opinion) the best cut, flavor and crisp. Smoothies are exquisite as well. Staff is lovely and keep up with the pace super smoothly! We love that you can see right into the kitchen from the counter. Always, always highly recommend. Such a fun and special spot in Montpelier! Vermont burger excellence 🍔

Provided they’re ordered extra crispy with extra salt these are the best fries north of I-89. And I only say north of I89 because I do my best never to go south of 89. Excellent fast food style hamburger, good shakes, perfect fries

A pretty perfect burger experience. I got a double burger with bacon, fried onions, and roasted garlic mayo and it was delicious. Crispy fries and LOTS of them! The maple shake wasn't as mapley as a good maple creemee, but I'd still get it again.
