Listen, I know it's a pho spot, and you won't be disappointed if you get Pho, but you need to order the Kim Special. It's the spicy beef and pork noodle soup with the addition of seafood. This thing during winter clears all sinuses, fills all tummies, and packs an ungodly amount of flavor. The staff is also incredible here - during my visit, it was a team of two (Kim & Hien) serving more than 20 seats and doing so with a smile on their face. Reservations recommended for groups of 5 or more though I saw them accommodate this on the spot.
Overall, this was a good experience. The service was good, and the food came out quick. The food was okay. I share the sentiment of some of the other reviews; it was lacking flavor. It was filling and was well presented, but it didn't have any soul to it. If you are looking for a quick bite, this isn't a bad place to stop, but if you're looking for a flavorful meal, I'd probably go somewhere else.
I should have stayed away if white people raved abt this place as “the best pho spot” but here we are. Pho tasted decent but whenever u go to a pho spot, it usually brings the whole tray of veges and lemon slices to put & season as ur liking but they didn’t bring. They said that they’ll bring a chili oil but never happened. My bf ordered the rice dish which comes with a few slices of meat, a load of rice and raw veges. No offense to that but the beef is so dry and has no savory gravy to eat with which made the dish to be super dry to eat. In terms of hygiene, the cups are so dirty. Yes it happens, I used to work at a restaurant too but the server isn’t standby to assist us since they are busy. So, we neglected that. And then, they asked for a tip !??? The people there are good but why
Consistently fresh, light and well considered dishes. Try the Fried Rice, Summer Roll and of course the Rare Beef Pho!!
It’s amazing how every Vietnamese place does the same dish differently. The papaya salad was tasty, but sweet instead of spicy. The vermicelli bowl was fresh and loaded with veggies. Loved the complimentary jasmine tea
