Buckeye Public Library - Downtown Library

This library is the equivalent of finding a nice snug place to get lost in a book. Beautiful and simple, great for kids. Has a nice little park next to it with a personal basketball court and a decent selection. Came here to get time to myself and read lord of the rings. Couldn't recommend enough 🫡

I stopped by Buckeye Public Library on a random afternoon and stayed way longer than planned. The space feels calm without feeling stiff or quiet in a weird way. I like how easy it is to walk in and just get settled. The staff was friendly and didn’t hover, which I apreciate a lot. I asked a simple question and got a real answer, not a rushed one. I found a comfy spot and got some work done without distractions. The internet worked fine for what I needed, and I didn’t feel rushed to leave. It felt like a place meant for the community, not just a building full of books. I saw people reading and studying, which made the vibe feel normal and welcoming. I’ve been to libraries that feel cold or outdated, but this one doesn’t. It feels taken care of and useful. I’ll for sure be coming back whe

Who knew library's were so cool hahha? We are constantly here with our 2 year old. From story time, to checking out toys, to meet and greets for his age group. Definitely useful... +++ the CULTURE PASS!! Ask the front desk- free passes to museums!

I used to love this library and bring my autistic twins here often. We came in one time with my twins and their behavior therapists and were playing on the screens and an employee loudly shushed us. Her shush was louder than anything in the library and everyone looked at us. It was unnecessary as the behavioral therapists would have intervened if they were too loud. Most of the staff know us, but I’d never seen this one lady before. I introduced myself afterwards and mentioned they were autistic, but it has made one of our therapists so uncomfortable she doesn’t want to go there anymore so we have to travel out of our way to go to the coyote branch. It’s really disappointing because we’ve enjoyed coming for almost 2 years.

Downtown Library is a pleasure to visit and check out books, or use their computers. Very clean and help is easy to get if needed. Lots of fun activities throughout the year from children age to adult. Great staff.
