Brown's Clam Shanty

My low rating was value for the price. My bad, as I wanted lobster, was gluten free, and thought a $28 lobster Cesar salad wasn't horrible. But didn't read the board right. $11 Cesar salad, $28 to ADD roughly 3oz of lobster meat. So, you can judge, Pic is my $40 lobster Cesar salad. Clam strip basket was good and $17... Clam shack, get the clams, no clue on the "famous" clams for twice the price...

The staff was attentive and nice. The lobster roll was good. The roll was toasted nicely and was fresh. I really liked the homemade onion rings. The coleslaw was okay. I wish they had homemade tartar sauce but they do provide a brand name variety of sauces.

Went on a Sunday night. All of the food was delicious! We were welcomed with smiles from friendly staff! No wait and the food came out quickly!! We had lobster, calamari, steamers, and homemade onion rings!!

A bit tourist trappy tbh. We spent much more than expected, and the portions were quite small. Food was a hit for some, a miss for others. Pros: the fried scallops were superb - batter was light and crispy, and cook was absolute perfection. French fries were legit. + outdoor seating is a plus! We were able to have a nice dinner with our puppy in tow! Cons: 37$ for the lobster roll + clam chowder combo - the chowder was thick and floury and did not taste of much, I’ve had better canned ones. Onion rings were a bit of a letdown, dry and unexciting.

I'm always skeptical when I order lobster rolls. Too much lettuce, too little lobster. It's always a risk. Let me tell you, this was the FULLEST (with lobster) I have seen in a very long time! Well worth it! The service was fantastic and friendly and the outdoor seating was inviting.
