Brentwood Public Library

The librarians consistently talk too loudly, treating the space like a social venue rather than a library. This defeats the entire purpose of having a quiet place to read and study. The staff should know better.

I had the privilege of speaking with Sam on the phone before my arrival. She promptly took charge of my request. She’s incredibly friendly and highly professional. I asked her if she could locate a specific book at one of the nearby libraries. She confirmed that she had found it at the Kirkwood library. However, she wanted to ensure that they had it, she would call me back after confirming the book’s availability at that library. Sam is cognizant that a person’s library experience doesn’t necessarily begin when they enter the library doors. Sometimes, it starts on the phone. It was quite evident to me that Sam genuinely cared about my positive experience as a Brentwood public library customer.

I love studying here ... but I thought libraries were suppose to be quiet ... the librarians are loud and I can hear their conversation from all the way in the back. Keep it down!

Shout out to this library and the two librarians who helped me out today! I needed an important document printed and scanned, and from the point I signed up for a card to the point I was walking out the door was about 20 minutes. They helped me out so quickly and were so nice, it was great!
