He gets fresh fish every day from the Hunts Point fish market and you can tell. Every piece of fish we've bought here is superb. He also makes excellent ceviche. No need to go downtown to get really high quality fish.

We have been there twice, and the quality of the fish is equal to thatof Citarella. In fact, the owner worked at Citarella for many years cleaning shrimp and he knows that the best fish is to be procured early in the morning at the Fulton Fish Market. This is why he is one of the best fishmongers in the city - He gets up very early every day to make sure this happens. This was my first time at Branzino and after 5 mins with Luciano I know I’ll be back anytime I need seafood. He was charming, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. We wanted to make a fish stock for stew and he recommended the perfect whole sea bass , then filleted it for us there and gave us everything we needed. The shop is clean and not overwhelming fish smelling. And the stew we made was incredible with sea bass and mussels that were super fresh and delicious. 12/10 recommend this is the perfect neighborhood fish shop.

Another level of quality. Treat yourself and your guests with any fish you pick from this Branzino Fish Market. My last pick was Cod. I thought I have had some good Cod fish before… until I tried one of Luciano’s. It’s out of this world.

Best fish market in the area. Always fresh and great selection. Seriously way better than other markets I visited in this area.
