Brake Burger Garage

First visit here today after finding it on YELP. As we were walking in, a customer exiting asked if we had been here before and told us that the onion rings are out of this world. So as we ordered our food, we ordered onion rings also. We ordered a Garlic Burger with Waffle Fries and a drink ($13.99), a Brake Burger with Waffle fries and a drink ($13.99) and a Smash Burger adding bacon with waffle fries and a drink ($15.20) an order of onion rings ($5.99). The onion rings have the potential to be amazing as they appear to be thin cut and battered in house. The only draw back with the onion rings, fries and burger is that they seem to be a bit heavy on the salt. I could not finish my fries and only ate a few onion rings. First time here today. Last time as well. We walked in. Cashier was friendly and helpful but the food wasnt great. The prices also were not worth it. It takes alot for me to write a bad review but it wasnt for me. Ordered a special of the month. A glazed donut burger ($9.99). It was small. The donut that acted a bun to the burger was cold and hard. The loaded waffle fries on the side of the burger cost almost as much as the burger and you get a couple of fries with cheese and their special sauce ($6.99). The fries were good, but a $7 upgrade as a side to your burger seems like alot. The sodas from the soda fountain were flat. The sprite tasted like seltzer more than soda.

Came for the burgers - they have a slight twist on the usual burger styles and offerings so more variety to choose from. The crispy chicken sandwich was good. The beer pretzel burger was ok - the flavor of the toppings and beer cheese kinda got lost to be honest but the beef patty was tasty. My husband had the birria burger and said it was really good - too good to share unfortunately 🙄. The fried mushrooms were really good - the horseradish sauce was a delight. And the waffle fries are very good - nice and crispy. We sat outside in the beer garden, it looks really pretty when with the lights and seating. Ifbuou want and condiments, they are located inside. Theres a bar cart outside with a really good selection of beers, ales and seltzers - draft and cans available and fairly priced too. W

1-3-26 So after seeing on Fox 13 Charlie Belcher’s segment about Brake Burger Garage in Lake Wales - we finally went ( lil over 30 minutes away) … Burger flavor was on point , wings a lil too smoky but ok… the service meh, the young lady at the register wasn’t overly enthusiastic, lil snide especially after saying that it was our 1st time there, no enthusiasm or here let me help you- didn’t help us to navigate the menu, the extra menu to add to our burgers - being a veteran I always ask if there is a veterans discount, I didn’t ask because of her standoffish attitude, but it would be nice to know . Not sure that will be venturing back anytime soon 

Hands down one heck of the best burgers EVER!!! Staff was soooo friendly including the cooks in the open kitchen!!! We couldn’t be happier with our random run I. While driving through the state!!!!! THIS IS A MUST STOP!!!! Yummy!!!
