Bonchon Chapel Hill

Went with some friends by one of their recommendations. Was not disappointed! Really crispy fried chicken, sauce was the heat as advertised......enough for a little nasal drip, which is perfect for me. Portions were large! And a friend has Bibimbap which came out sizzling in a hot stone bowl. Friendly service, super clean restaurant. Will be back!!

11/7/25 Back again for the third time! Never disappointed! The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious 😋 😋 😋.... Plus, the service is always great! If you're ever on Franklin St., in Chapel Hill, go check them out! (First post) This was our first time dining there, as a recommendation from someone. I must say.. we were not disappointed! Bon Chon has the BEST chicken wings on Franklin St., in Chapel Hill (or any other chicken place that I've tried). Korean Fried Chicken is perfectly crispy and flavorful and they have a great selection of sauces; we tried the soy garlic and Korean BBQ on the chicken, and the Yangnyeom sauce on the Potstickers.... soooo delicious 😋 Additionally, we had the Bulgogi House Fried Rice. All of the dishes we tried were finger-lickingly (if that's a word lol) deli

Came here for lunch between classes, convenient and walkable from Davie Hall. The view of campus and general green space is very pleasant and the seating was decently spaced. There was only one server during lunch time so I felt bad for them. The lunch specials are very affordable and I definitely enjoyed the Korean Tacos with fried chicken. They didn't have the street corn at the time so I'd like to come back to try that and a mopo corn dog. *Update. Came back to try the corn dogs and they were great! Super filling, I could barely finish my second one. The cheese inside is savory, the outside is crispy. More staff this time so that was good. I'll definitely continue visiting.

This place serves delicious food and has friendly staff. The fried chicken wings are a must-try. Whether you’re dining in or out, you’ll always feel welcome.

The service here has been pretty good recently. It is definitely less expensive to eat there than to order from them. Ordering is usually really expensive for some reason, but when I went in person, it was much cheaper and honestly fairly priced. I do not really like most of the food there apart from a couple of things. The udon bulgogi they have right now is AMAZING. Their spicy mayo is always so good, I love dipping my fries in it, though that is probably just my preference. Their pork buns are pretty good too.
