Chapel Chill

INCREDIBLY good ice cream - the perfect softness too, which is even more rare. Well worth the drive from any part of the triangle, and dare I even say, the state. Chapel Hill Toffee is perhaps the most popular flavor here, but I haven’t found a miss yet amongst the wide selection. Great ice cream, great vibes, and incredibly friendly service - I highly recommend.

I think this is a 4 1/2 star, but we will round it up to a 5. The ice cream shop is cute. Customers service was good. The ice cream has a good flavor to it, but it is thick/heavy. We had a large which came with 3 flavors. We had the Chapel Hill toffee, Banana pudding biscoff and s’mores.

Chapel Chill on Weaver Dairy Road is OPEN! We all got delicious ice cream (cookies and cream, strawberry, banana pudding, one with a coffee base…) and then went back for a flight of four more flavors to try. All very delicious, and we are very into ice cream in our home! The young staff were competent and kind, there was seating indoors and a lot of tables outdoors too (perfect for kids who wiggle a lot). Bathroom on premises and water fountain (clutch for an ice cream shop!). Sprinkles are free, other toppings $1 each. Waffle bowls are delicious. Our friends whom we met for ice cream are dairy free and they were able to sample four different flavors, I believe there were six dairy free options (GF waffle bowls too!). Highly recommend! A great spot for local ice cream! Easy to get in and out with plenty of seating today. The blue cookie monster was great- they all were! I couldn't quite place the flavor (natural color)- we also tried buckeye, chocolate ("best chocolate ever"), and cookie dough. Plus the name is so clever!!

Adorable new ice cream shop with all in house made flavors. Many great options to choose from - glad they offer an ice cream flight. You get four 'small' scoops of any four flavors. Delicious all around.
