Blue Orchid Thai Restaurant

Date Night Although I adore Thai food, it was our first time at Blue Orchid (yeah, I know). Neither of us realized it's like hidden in an alley, we had been wondering why we'd never driven by it before. No reservation but they were only half full so we were seated right away. My husband was immediately thrilled to find Hot Sake on the menu. We chose a couple of starters. He, the Chicken Satay, dude loves chicken on a stick...what can I say?! He barely touched the peanut sauce but was super happy with the marinade on the meat itself. Got a Spring Roll, it was kinda weird and gummy and confusing. Also the Veggie Tempura which was pretty lacking in the tempura coating but the Sweet & Sour sauce accompanying it was magical! It even made the Broccoli extra yummy, I ate everything but the Baby

Service: We were in town for some work and we heard good reviews about this Thai restaurant so decided to go for a dinner. We reached the nearest cross roads there but were not able to locate this place. We called the restaurant from literally diagonally across the street from I think a Hilton. We got directions to get there plus the parking suggestions. That was very nice of them and we give 5 star for the service. Once we entered the ambience is nice and we were seated at a table of our choice. They also accommodated our request to get our food early as we had another event we need to go for. Food: We ordered two vegetarian entrees and coconut milk soup. I would give the food no more than 3 stars. The soup was bland and missing Thai spices and the zing! I guess we are spoiled probably f

We had a wonderful experience at this Thai restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious; full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained, which made the dining experience even more pleasant. The inside atmosphere had such a great vibe, warm, inviting, and relaxing. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

The food was great (we expect that after years of eating there). We added the duck rolls as one of our staple appetizers, so good. The bar service is slow (like order a beer when you start an entree and get it right before you finish) and we ordered vegetables with one of our entrees that didn’t make the order (we do this every time) and by the time they came out, most of our party were about do e eating ant they were under cooked. Little things that can make a 5 stars experience a 4 star one.

Blue Orchid has outstanding food. This often overlooked restaurant in downtown Lincoln has fabulous Thai food. Service is excellent and atmosphere is enjoyable. A great choice for lunch or dinner.
