Tasty option for halal NYC-style platters that do include lamb. No doubt about it, New York City and its halal carts are to blame for those times I get a craving for “chicken and rice”. So last night we looked for ones around the area and stumbled onto this place that has been open for just a year. We each ordered their NYC style mixed platter which includes rice, salad, and a mix of chicken and lamb. This was nice to see because the older style Halal Guys in NYC used to have lamb and we have fond memories of those $6 platters, served piping hot and with truly diabolical hot sauce. Sadly evolved to its current and somewhat neutered form of beef and standardized packeted hot sauce. Blazin Kabob doesn’t seem to have their own house hot sauce, but some more watery red sauce. Tried this restaurant for the first time and it was really good. The lamb gyros and falafel gyros were fresh and delicious. They were not stingy with the fillings at all. The french fries and mint lemonade slushie were also very good. Prices were very fair. Definitely give this mom and pop shop a try!

Blazin Kebobs does not miss. The halal chicken platter over rice is absolutely banging — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and loaded. Add a side of fries and it’s game over. Flavor on point every time.

Blazin Kabob is absolutely amazing! We tried their Avani Palao, lamb chops, and kebabs, and everything was spot on. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor, while the rice was perfectly cooked and so delicious. If you’re looking for real, authentic Afghani food, this is the place to come. The quality, taste, and experience are unmatched—I’ll definitely be coming back!

That had to be the most incredible NY style lamb salad I have ever eaten. Everything was so fresh, the salad had everything included and sliced perfectly I absolutely loved the added touch of chickpea and banana peppers, the sauces were just as incredible. You HAVE TO get the mint lemonade so so good I cannot wait to go back!!
