Blacksburg Bagels

The bagels were hard and gross. Not sure what was going on but not being able to toast the bagels and having no butter available is kinda crazy.

Visited the bakery for the first time last week to purchase a king cake. I entered the store, it smelt delicious. I was so excited! I then noticed the cashier was giving my boyfriend rude looks the entire time we were waiting in line to purchase the cake. I approached the counter and she said “$30.” and that is all. I proceed to pay and she walks away from the register, didn’t say have a good day, thank you, nothing. I have been working in customer service for over 7 years and that is completely unacceptable. Anyway, I opened my king cake and realized it was overcooked. I lived in Louisiana for 4 years and it was the driest king cake I have ever had. I ordered a cinnamon bagel from them at the farmers market and it was so damn good. Absolutely recommend.

Holy smokes this place is no joke. Delicious bagels made fresh this morning and the pretzels are to die for! The everything seasoning is on point and the rosemary tomato bagel was decadent. They also sell cream cheese and local jams and honey. Incredible! Will be back for more bagels!

Blacksburg Bagels have the only REAL bagels in this area! Maybe region! These are made in true bagel fashion and with love and carefully chosen locally-sourced ingredients by a small business owner, who gives back to the community. But don't stop at the bagels! Buy the best pizza dough for your freezer. The white bread is killer for French toast. Sourdough magnificent. The cinnamon rolls kick A. Pretzels, cookies, even seedy crackers.
