Blackridge Hall Bed & Breakfast

We recently spent 5 nights at Blackridge Hall, and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while touring Kentucky. This B&B is an absolute gem and Jim Black, the proprietor, is a wonderful person who quickly helped us to feel right at home. He greeted us at the door, and gave us a wonderful tour of his antebellum style home. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the antiques in his home, as well as learning a bit of civil war history. My husband and I stayed in My Old Kentucky Home Suite, and my mother stayed in The Bluegrass Heritage Suite. Both suites were beyond our expectations; they were spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We loved our stay. Jim was an amazing host food was great. Loved our breakfast on the veranda. if we are ever back that way we will stopp in again.

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and were looking for a place that was really special. We found that place in Blackridge Hall. It is like stepping back in time to an Antebellum mansion. We were greeted at the door by the innkeeper, Jim Black. He had been very helpful with restaurant suggestions and sights in the area even before we arrived. We received a warm welcome and a tour of the entire home.It is beautiful. We received a history lesson about some various furnishings. He is very proud of this lovely home. We stayed in the Bluegrass Heritage Suite and found it to be more than spacious and comfortable. We stayed at Blackridge Hall B&B for our 25th Anniversary trip. We stayed in My Old Kentucky Home Suite as a special treat to us. Our room was most importantly comfortable. It also was luxurious with a sitting area and large bathroom. Our room opened to the veranda where we would have spent sometime sitting and enjoying the view except for the fact that like most of our anniversaries it was chilly and raining. We did take a short walk during a break in the rain to walk down to see the very friendly horses and cute little burro.||Mr Black was eager to share the history of the area and his home with us. My girlfriend and I stayed in Blackridge Hall for a night during our roadtrip to the Smokey Mountains. Host Jim Black was very friendly and informative. He had many suggestions about what to do in the area, unfortunately we did not have much time for activities. Jim also helped us with where to eat and stay at our next stop. The house and it surroundings were very impressive. The fox and hounds room was neat, and the next morning breakfast was delicious. If you like to witness true southern hospitality with a touch of Kentucky history this is the place for you.
