Be ware, this place up charges you without warning and has a hefty tax on prepared food and charges for water. All in all we were up charges, taxed and charged for water $20 + for a simple meal of two sandwiches. Notice the highlighted menu item has no price behind it. Even after asking the wait staff if it was an upcharge they said no but still up charges me. When I asked about this, they said there is no manager on sight and would prefer not to call him because he's not a very nice man. Yes we agree. Anyone that puts this on their menu without being abundantly clear about how much it costs is not a nice person. As well. Someone that charges $3 for a $0.30 bottle of water is also not nice. $$. Classic near Venice joint. Polite and efficient service, fried seafood, some steaks, bottled beer. Clean, easy to find. Dinner for two, 2 appetizers and 2 soft shell crabs and 4 beer 110 dollars. By far the BEST SHRIMP I have ever eaten in the United States!! The food was excellent, really hit the spot! Was glad we got to experience this place while we were on vacation. Will definitely dine there again when we are back in town.

Ordered the combo platter and everything was good except the shrimp. They seemed to have been way over cooked and dry. The wait staff was great!

Super friendly, awesome food, great service. Best fried oysters I've ever had. Really liked the crab stuffed mushrooms too. Velvet sauce is tasty. Can't wait to have the homemade bread pudding later.
