Bites & Basil

Delicious food!! Generous portion for the price we paid and even had some left overs. The staff and owners are super friendly and has a great atmosphere. All dishes were excellent but I really enjoyed the flavor of salt and pepper shrimp here!! Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family

I recently tried Bites and Basil and overall it was just okay. We ordered the spring rolls, but they tasted a little funky. I had the hủ tiếu and liked that they offered a choice between egg noodles and tapioca noodles. The addition of fried pork belly was a nice touch and probably my favorite part of the dish. However, the broth was a bit too salty for my taste. We also ordered pho, but it was also on the salty side and didn’t have much depth of flavor. Unfortunately, we didn’t end up finishing our bowls. It wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for us.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and full of flavor. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The Bun Bo Hue and garlic butter stir-fried noodles are outstanding. Everything was excellent—highly recommend!

Great Vietnamese food with generous portions. We ordered the Hu Tieu ($16) and Pork Ribs Rice ($16)—both were hearty and satisfying. The broth was especially good, with fried pork skin added, which felt very familiar and comforting, just like what we often have in Taiwan. The staff were friendly and provided great service. It gets busy during peak hours, but the turnover is quick, so seating wasn’t an issue.

I was shocked how authentic the food was. It’s hard to find a place that makes good Hu tieu kho, but this hit the spot. The oxtail bun Bo hue was good too! Both entrees came with a lot of meat and veggies on the side. 100% recommend the Hu tieu kho *chefs kiss* Vietnamese iced coffee was a bit too sweet, but fine otherwise. Very clean restrooms. Plenty of parking. $60 (with tip) for two people
