If you love ramen, this place is a must-visit. I tried both their chicken shio ramen and tonkotsu ramen, and the contrast alone shows how skilled this kitchen is. The chicken shio is beautifully clean and refined—clear golden broth, deep chicken umami, and tender chashu that melts without overpowering the soup. It’s the kind of ramen you finish and immediately miss. The tonkotsu is the complete opposite in the best way: rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying. The pork broth is bold but not heavy, the chashu is luscious, and the balance with green onions and wood ear mushrooms keeps every bite exciting. Few ramen shops can do both elegant and indulgent this well. Come hungry—and if you can, order both. You won’t regret it.
Chef Toshiro brings the flavors of Kyushu to Tarzana, and you can taste the passion in every element. From the first bite to the last drop, this was ramen done right. Started with the takoyaki: perfectly spongy, yielding gently and releasing a warm, savory aroma. Great start. The tonkotsu was the star. I closed my eyes and sipped. Intense chashu flavor hit immediately. That milky, porky broth glided down leaving a rich, velvety trail. The kind of broth you don’t want to end. Egg was a masterpiece: perfectly jammy, beautifully marinated. Mirin and soy in every bite. Noodles had just the right chew. The chashu? Impossibly soft with deep, happy pork flavor. Melt in your mouth doesn’t do it justice. A surprise standout: the dried tomato topping. It brought a mild, delicious kick that cut throu
I really love the takoyaki here. They fry it so well and the bonito flakes are thicker almost a bacon texture. The spicy tuna bowl is also very good and the wasabi is more authentic. My favorite ramen is the spicy tonkotsu ramen followed by the yuzu chicken. You can just smell the yuzu right away. Black garlic can be more garlicky and better with spicy sauce.
The food was amazing, I ordered the Gyoza and clear Ramen 😋 and spicy ramen omg the best and the quality super! The young lady that helped us was so sweet attentive and welcoming 🙏 💕 ❤️ love this place! If you go for lunch get the lunch special so worth it.
Authentic, delicious ramen. Having lived in Japan and being half Japanese, it’s wonderful to enjoy tonkotsu ramen like this outside of Japan. Perfect tastes and textures. They use special charcoal for cooking. Super lovely service as well!
