Billy Bricks Pizza & Ice Cream

One visit and we’ve COMPLETELY changed our minds about this place. When they first took over Chicago Mike’s I was not thrilled. “Another fancy pizza place?” I said. So happy to be so wrong. We stopped by for some light appetizers and were floored that these fresh, handmade treats came from a small, quick service restaurant. And at very reasonable prices. We ate two appetizers, then immediately ordered them again and gobbled them up again. Now we want to try the rest of the menu. Thanks Billy!

We love the taste and speedy service BUT, we paid $25 for two small pizzas that were mostly bread/crust! I addressed this to the worker but they lacked in customer support and satisfaction to remake it with adequate toppings. And this photo is only some of the crusts, threw out a good amount that was burnt.

The pizzas and calzone we ordered were excellent -& were cooked just the way we like them (similar to NY style). We ordered two seasonal pizzas, which had a lot of toppings and great texture and flavor. The calzone meat portions were large - but there was not as much goat cheese as we would have liked. The Quattro formagi pizza was also excellent. The pizza crusts were baked to perfection, thin, with a slight crisp, and just the right amount of chewiness. We are East Coast transplants to the Midwest and very much appreciated they way these pies were cooked. This will be our go-to pizza place from now on.

Wood-fired pizza with good crust and char. Fresh ingredients and baked to good consistency. Apps and sides good too. Thursday 2 12” pizza for $22 is a deal. Fed three of us with a side salad and goat cheese bread. Easy.

Great experience! The manager kindly offered a sample of ice cream to one of the kids in our party who had bumped her head on the way in and was crying. We got the lemon Italian ice, exhausted parent, and the blackberry lemon. The lemon Italian ice was somehow a creamy texture without having dairy, perfect for a hot sunny day as they have in the description. We all tried exhausted parent in a cookie sandwich form. The cookies have a bite to them, and they make the ice cream sandwich right in front of you. You can get any flavor as a sandwich. Exhausted parent is probably the best integration of the alcohol taste into an ice cream I've had, good flavor without the burn of alcohol. Everyone liked the blackberry lemon (especially the kids).
