Berkeley County Library - Hanahan Library

The Berkeley County Library – Hanahan Branch is truly an amazing library and one of the best community spaces in the area. Every single staff member here is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Whether you’re looking for a specific book, need help with technology, or just have a general question, they go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. I especially want to recognize Kristen. While all of the staff are fantastic, Kristen stands out as one of the most incredible librarians I’ve ever worked with. Her approach, tone, and dedication to helping in every situation are exceptional. She takes the time to truly listen, problem-solve, and make sure you leave with exactly what you need. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people she’s helping and the community

We came here bc our regular library is closed for a reno. The is library is so clean and new. The library staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and act like they enjoy their jobs! They have a wonderful children's area with puzzles and toys. They have computers and a printer for library use. There is toddler story time once per week. They even have a nice outdoor area.

Nice library but the big and tall woman with short brown hair is so unwelcoming. I’ve been there multiple times and she is downright hostile. The rest of the staff is nice enough, but this lady obviously hates her job and life and despises anyone that could potentially make her get out of her chair making the vibe very negative. I will be making a formal complaint.

My kids love coming to this library. The staff are friendly and always have a smile for us.

I'm not sure about the selection of books available, but I do love this library. There are 3 study rooms that offer a great place to do work! There are 2 rooms with tables that seat 4 people and the other I believe seats up to 6 people. They are the perfect size rooms and offer plenty of natural light to help focus!
