Belvedere Charleston

We had a wonderful trip staying at Belvedere. The location was fabulous, and we parked our car and walked to everything; all the lovely homes were within walking distance. It really is a special, unique home, and it is obvious the owners have put their hearts into making it a wonderful place for guests. The home is lovely, with wonderful rooms and bathrooms. One of the bathrooms looks right over the lake ( I can't remember the other bathroom view), and the view is beautiful. There is so much attention to detail; it is hard to explain all the little special and historic touches they have added. It is very clean, and they go out of their way to provide snacks and items like coffee. We would get up and go get our workout in, and then we would enjoy some time in the beautiful courtyard.

My wife and I had our anniversary weekend at this B&B. She loves Plantation homes. The home is absolutely stunning and is everything my wife loves about plantation homes. The two bedroom accommodations are basically your very own apartment. They are like nothing at any B&B you've ever experienced. ||Would stay there any time we visit beautiful Charleston.

This is a little known gem we luckily discovered on Trip Advisor. It is listed as a B&B, but you really have your very own apartment in the perfect location. It was ideal for two couples with separate quarters and bathrooms. The apartment is connected to one of the most beautiful homes in Charleston built in 1900. Everything has been completely modernized inside yet it maintains that Charleston charm and we were in walking distance from restaurants and historical sights. The proprietors were welcoming and accommodating-you will not want to leave this place!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Belvedere in Charleston with another couple. Often it is difficult to find an apartment with two bedrooms and bathrooms that can both be considered master suites, leaving one couple to make the compromise. This was not the case. Both were spacious, tastefully appointed and modern while remaining true to the age and character of this grand Charleston house. The closets and drawer space were clean and abundant with a safe in each room. The living room, dining room and kitchen were modern, functional, utterly comfortable and elegantly chic. Not an easy balance to achieve. Two major bonuses were the clean laundry area and a dedicated parking spot which is very difficult to find in Charleston. My husband and I turned 30 this year, and to celebrate we took a bunch of friends from NYC to Charleston with us. We stayed in the newly remodeled Belvedere B&B, which was the perfect setting for our Charleston escapades. Set right on the lake, this beautiful old house is somewhat of a local landmark, and the owners, Pam and Ron, were incredibly sweet and accommodating to our group. They had plenty of advice on what to visit (boating the glassy swamp at Cypress Gardens and pretty Folly Beach to name two), made us insanely delicious breakfasts (French toast with juicy berries was my fave) and were generally delightful company during our weekend away.
