Belmont Public Library

Suuuper nice library. I just wish it wasn't so tucked away, I had to catch an hourly bus to get here! All of the furniture and facilities seem to be in almost brand-new condition. The building is wonderful, with huge windows opening to the Belameda park, allowing a good view and some sunlight to come through. Some other features to note is an inviting play area within the children's section and a fireplace and art near the magazines. As with all smaller libraries, however, selection is a bit limited. I went through the whole catalogue pretty quickly. I found some books I am thrilled to read that I haven't really seen at any other SMPL, one of them coming from their... I think it was "Short and Sweet" or something like that...? curated bookshelf. Overall, good stuff, Belmont. 4/5.

A big library with many books, videos and toys for many people, especially children. Their kid’s corner is very large, with many types of books, from educational to entertaining. There are also many baby toys and board games in an area. Many activities for kids here. The only downside is there are often some teenagers coming to play computer games and using inappropriate words in the open.

I want to thank this library for accepting all teens after school. It's a much better option for them to be here than to be wandering around and getting into trouble 😵‍💫 I understand that it's getting loud. They're just kids who need a space to hang out. They could easily do much worse stuff outside. Thank you, community, for providing this opportunity for all the children.

Very well organised with a huge collection of books. Computers to surf and printers if you want print something as well as a cafe inside for coffee breaks from tireless study times Great ambient light, mostly sunlight comes in so its a natural setting , quiet and clean Big parking log Overall i give it 5 stars for all factors

Plenty of places to just sit and work. Helpful staff.
