Belmar Beachfront 19th Avenue

The beach is pleasantly clean and nice. It's a shame that they charge to get on the beach. We traveled over 14 states on our last road trip and didn't have to pay to get on any beaches, and they were so much cleaner. The parking is hard here, you usually have to walk for blocks. We stayed near the rocks and surf area, which was nice to watch the people surfing. The water was great, and so was the day.

Tiny beach, $9/adult beach tag @rip-off pricing levels. Surfing area at 19th street, near blue flag. Waves typically break 25-35 feet from the shore during mid-/high-tide. Saltwater rinsing sprayer and bathrooms at the street entrance. Parking is limited, but can be found most times of the day.

Very nice beach with good waves. Dedicated water areas for surf, paddle, swimmers+body boards. Life guards are numerous and very active. The price is too much however, and the parking too difficult.

Such a beautiful place! So clean and well kept. Very pleased to see the police enforcing the rules on the beach, keeping the area enjoyable for everyone. Bathrooms were okay.
