Boardwalk Beach

Nice, clean beach. Playground for kids, decent restrooms. Boardwalk was mostly clean and appealing. My only complaint was the parking. We are from out of town, parked and saw the sunrise. Was there maybe 30-40 min and got a $45 parking ticket. Neither one of us saw any signs regarding parking. Talked to a few shop owners and they just laughed saying that's how Belmar generates revenue. The one showed us faintly painted Parkmobile on the pavement and told us how to do it. Another shop owner said they know people from out of town come and it's very easy to overlook, that's how they generate revenue. Only locals or returning people know about it. Personally, I think that was a joke. We went other places along the coast in NJ where parking was clearly marked. Won't be returning to Belmar.

Since there's no rules or parking info posted I'll post here: there's no alcohol, food or beverages allowed on the beach but you can eat on the boardwalk and leave your coolers with the staff (can't bring it on the beach). You can't smoke or drink on the boardwalk nor beach, you have to go down the stairs if you want to. There's also no dogs allowed. You have to pay about $13 for beach passes. You can't have any tents or canopies, only umbrellas. The staff is very friendly and the beach is super clean but the rules are strict, but that's why the beach is so clean. Parking is free right by the boardwalk. Speakers are allowed so that's a plus! Overall, very nice, big, clean beach and it's definitely gonna be my go to. I went during Memorial Day weekend and it wasn't very full either.

Nice very nice. Streets are clean and no potholes. Beaches are very well kept. Not very much on entertainment but very nice place to go if you like beaches.
