This is your PSA on why you should shop local and support small businesses. The kindness and ease of communication is exactly what I needed for a tough few days ahead. Mother’s Day is not an easy day for me. I spend it by going to the cemetery and talking to my mom as if she were still here with me. I always bring flowers from a very popular chain store. This store is always packed and it makes a somber day even more stressful. I stopped by Gade Farms last week and picked up tulips grown by Bee Wild Blooms. A week later they are still beautiful and thriving. I was so impressed that I reached out to her directly and asked if she had any yellow flowers, my mom’s favorite color. She let me know she would include 2 yellow bouquets for me to pick up at Gade Farm. This is exactly why you shop

This forest the flower shop is in truly has a bunch of bees. I got stung by a few as I spent too long touching the flowers. Fortunately the owner gave me a soda and a bandaid to heal my arm.
