Bedford County Library

Bedford has a bigger library than the other local library's, its also open all day versus the others are only open half the day. It's located in a convenient location near restaurants,gas stations and grocery stores.

I live out of state, I frequently visit family in the area. I've been able to schedule an appointment online through identogo for fingerprinting 4 times (because I change my schedule around to stay an extra day to attempt fingerprinting again). 3 times, I have shown up and the library is closed, with no posting to identogo or the library website, just a piece of paper on the door. The family that lives in the area is still 30 minutes away, waste of my time. If you need fingerprinting, just go to Altoona.

The Bedford County Library is a wonderful community resource with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, whether it’s finding a book, recommending resources, or assisting with technology. The library offers a great selection of books, magazines, and digital resources, along with events that serve all ages. The only reason I’m leaving four stars instead of five is that the space could use a few updates—such as more seating areas and extended evening hours—to make it even more accommodating. That said, it’s still a fantastic place to read, learn, and connect with the community.

All employees are very nice and helpful. The Hoopla app is amazing as you can borrow ebooks on there. Each piece of paper printout is only 26¢ so if you don't have a printer it's very affordable to print out documents.

Very nice library with awesome ladies working there to! Stopped by this afternoon to use they're fax and the women that helped me was very sweet and extremely helpful. Everybody was high spirits and sweet. Thanks ladies..
