Golden Eagle Inn

This beautiful and historic building is an amazing place to stay if you want to visit Bedford or surrounding area! This was our first bed and breakfast style experience and I have to say it makes us want to do more trips like this! The owners were so kind and just down to earth, loving folks and the staff that is considered family was top notch as well! The room was so darling and very clean and comfortable! The king size bed was one of the most comfortable that we’ve slept in away from home! The complementary breakfast was top tier and that’s putting it lightly! We were right in town so that we could just walk around to visit all of the local shops and businesses and that is a must while visiting!!! We stayed sadly for just one night on a trip to Ohio. Had two rooms—we've stayed several times before but not our adult kids who did this time. Very a accommodating about arrival time—we were worried about weather delays. Had a great dinner in the dining room when we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The hotel was festively decorated for the season and the gas fireplace in our room added to ambience. We will be back again.

This is my 2nd stay at the Golden Eagle and I can't wait to visit again. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. We loved the restaurant for dinner. Interesting options we'll prepared. The breakfast which is included was delicious and varied each day. The porch was a great place to hangout with friends and coffee and tea were available. It accessible to shops , restaurants, coffee shops, museums and a movie theater. Everyone enjoyed their stay.

Myself and 3 friends come here every January to celebrate 2 of our birthdays. We feel it’s a good value and the people who work here couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. Breakfast is included and we usually have lunch in the pub or dinner in the restaurant, wonderful food and also a good value.

Pretty little ditty 'bout Tom and Mary Jane, 2 amazing individuals that own and operate the Golden Eagle. I honestly don't know where to begin so I will say this;|Tom and Mary Jane made us feel welcomed from the moment we checked in, to the minute we departed. The Golden Eagle offers a delicious and well balanced breakfast from 8:00-9:30 in the morning and it starts your day off great. The history in this town is incredible, I am not a history buff whatsoever and I was still able to appreciate the history of not only the Golden Eagle, but the entire downtown block of Bedford. The Bar downstairs has some amazing french onion soup (amongst other rustic delicious dishes) and nice selection of libations.
