Beanies Mexican Restaurant

If this restaurant is fairly new I am in for stopping more often. We wanted a simple snack type .eal. this was or first road trip in months cause wife's is really getting better since her hospital stay. Our server handled us with top care And service. She was busy too. So look at the mini bowl choices. Never been to a Mexican restaurant with so many options. A great stop.

Love the interior at night. Live music on Saturday night is a treat. Margaritas are nice on the rocks although pricey for Ozaukee County since I live downtown Milwaukee. The chimichangas are very tasty and so are the large soft tacos.

Food was amazing!! The young lady at the counter was also super sweet and helpful. We stopped here and got the Loaded Nachos to go, since we were headed home. We were warned that they don’t typically do that since the chips get soggy but we live nearby so we didn’t mind. (And just great service that they even warned us, so bonus star for that!) Glad we still got them because they were incredible! Our order also came with an additional side of chips, salsa, sour cream, and cinnamon sugar chips. Their salsa is amazing!! This was our first time trying Beanies, and based on this, we will be going again.

Did not meet expectations. I expected the food to be much much better for about $20 a plate. My burrito was very dry and had Seasoning salt sprinkled all over it as a garnish, making it very salty and dry. The taco salad was very greasy and was not very appetizing. Service was friendly and the drinks were good so if your coming for the beverages the Margarita is very good.

Food was delicious! I had one of their specials, the shrimp street corn tacos with a red sangria, and topped it off with Christa’s Postres for dessert! Yum! Our waitress gave us great service and was very pleasant. Although the waterfront restaurants get more attention, don’t let that stop you from enjoying a very good Mexican meal!
