Barvina Jamaican Restaurant

This was my first time there. I had oxtails w/ rice,beans and cabbage and a side of plantains. The food was so GOOD that I am making this my new spot for Jamaican from now on. They said they are turning it into a sports bar but will still serve the Jamaican menu..Yay!

Stop in for the first time tonight to grab a carryout and meet who i think was one of the owners and had a very pleasant conversation out our adult children. Restaurant felt warm and the smell was as if I was in Jamaica on vacation. When I got home, the food was still warm and the flavor was on point. The portions were nice size and I will definitely be coming back to visit whenever in the Richmond area. If you haven't had them, give them a try.

Nice unassuming place, friendly wait staff. Got the mushroom burger with tater tots, nice char on burger as it was also tasty and juicy and the tots were hot and crispy. Great place give it a try 😀

Lemme tell you...this place is the Capital of Burgers!!! I ran around for about 3 years looking for a good burger, passed this place several times judging it from the outside and not mention when you go in it’s not the best looking place but if you can get past all of that to get to the prize of a BOMB tasting burger you will not regret it! Now I placed my order over the phone, gave them time and went to pick it up...but when I got there it wasn’t ready & the reason was....(drumroll please) he had to clean the grill!!!! Yes clean the grill... that was music to my ears so it was definitely worth the wait. Forgot Burger Bach and Carytown Burgers & I say that with love....but this Bottom Burger is where you need to get your burger!!!! Portion size is like that too!!! Money well spent!

Incredible burgers- perfectly fried& seasoned tots &fries. Lovely service. Waited a bit for food but it was def worth the wait.
