Barons Restaurant at Hotel Colorado Casual Dining

Sonia was our server... And she was absolutely amazing! Friendly, personable and fun as all get out! The food was unsurprisingly wonderful. While many venues in the area struggle with elevating basic continental fair, Baron's provides some truly inspired dishes. The lamb T-bone I had was cooked to the chef's recommendation and was, well, in a word, stunning. The cocktails are unique and satiated that desire for something out of the norm. And to finish, pumpkin creme brulee was quite the surprise. Smooth and rich, it is an absolute must. If you are in Glenwood, you'd be a fool to not give Baron's a try.

So I normally don’t leave bad reviews but I felt I needed to leave a review for my experience here tonight. I am traveling through the area and I stayed in Glenwood Springs and this restaurant had very good reviews and I also wanted to check out the hotel so I reviewed the menu before I went in and when I went into the restaurant, I guess they had changed their menu and they had no chicken options, Which was totally OK with me so I ended up getting a vegetarian pasta dish and added chicken to it, there was a little discrepancy with what was presented to me but… I will tell you, Peyton made my experience, exceptional! I really enjoyed my experience at the restaurant in the Colorado Hotel. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The ambience is beautiful — I especially loved the fountain with the koi fish, it added such a peaceful touch. The service was amazing, attentive, and friendly. I highly recommend trying the mini burger tasting with four different kinds — such a fun idea and really tasty! The flatbread and chicken quesadillas were also excellent. Overall, between the great food, wonderful service, and the charm of the hotel’s patio, it was a perfect dining experience.

Came in February. It was warm where we sat (not as cold as another reviewer mentions from a January visit). We had the wild game sliders with truffle fries and crispy maple bacon brussel sprouts along with cheesecake for dessert. The sliders were very good, and even the bison was more juicy than a beef burger at a better-rated casual burger joint in Estes Park. Our favorite was the wild boar slider followed by the elk slider! Service was efficient and friendly. There were coloring activities for the kids, too.
