The Bed & Breakfast on Mitchell Creek

Wonderful place to stay in the woods of Glenwood Springs, CO. Our host does an outstanding job running this by himself since his wife passed away 12 years ago. Spacious room with our own private entrance & private bath. Stan was so accommodating of my dietary needs & breakfast was absolutely delicious! A gourmet meal! He also gave us wonderful info on where to eat & points of interest in town. So fun to visit with Stan over breakfast. We hope to be back on our next travels home to MN from AZ.

We are very grateful that we had the opportunity to stay with Stan at his bed and breakfast called The Bed & Breakfast on Mitchell Creek. My family and I traveled to Glenwood Springs from Arizona to purchase a truck at Mountain Chevrolet dealership. The process took longer than expected and we found ourselves needing to stay an extra night in Glenwood Springs. I called Stan and he explained he normally does not except families, however, since we were booking both rooms and he was available he would be more than happy to accommodate us. My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing stay at Mitchell Creek Bed and Breakfast. The property is beautiful. The large deck, his landscaping, flowers, and fire pits down by the creek are absolutely amazing. Our accommodations were very clean and spacious but the best part of our visit was talking with Stan. Stan is a wonderful host because not only was our breakfast very tasty, he also had information about the surrounding areas of Glenwood and other stories that were extremely interesting. We would highly recommend this secluded place for an overnight visit or an extended stay and we would definitely like to visit again soon!

Stan, our host was so hospitable. His place is gorgeous and exactly the kind of homey feel we were looking for while visiting Glenwood Springs. His dog, Girlfriend is super friendly and loves having new visitors. Stan OUTDID himself with the breakfasts. Everything was delicious even accommodated our food restrictions. The room was so clean and inviting. He has some land you can hike on, have a nice fire in the fire pit too. But, for me, the creek stole the show. The sound of the water is so calming. I highly recommend staying at this B&B for an amazing experience!

Stan is a wonderful, gregarious host and his dog, Girl Friend is an especially friendly and welcoming long hair German Shepard. Stan's home is very spacious and beautiful. While secluded and private it is only 5 minutes to Glenwood Springs downtown. Stan had many recommendations for restaurants and discount coupons too! There are hiking trails virtually at the door step. The Bed and Breakfast on Mitchell Creek was a really fantastic gem to find and I will stay there again.
