Customer Reviews
Initially, I loved the vibe. NADIA was super intuitive and got down to business. The "business " was, they want your money 💰. I went in thanking it's a normal "interview ", but i felt pressured to signing and committing to over $3000. The moment I said, I had another job, or other prior commitments.. Nadia was so committed to "why wait?". I have other commitments and she just brushed me off, said she has other clients... I get that! But don't tell me u like me and brush me off bec I need time to think, bec apparently, they don't do 2nd interviews. So be prepared to drop everything when u go there.
It was not what I expected, it was more than $3K for 10 modeling classes where I feel that they do not teach you anything, they tell you that they will help you get a job and fulfill your modeling dreams but everything is a farce, in the time that I have been in barbizon they do not take the photos or help you with your portfolio you have to do everything yourself and see where you get everything from to do something well, when I tried to cancel the class since it seemed to me that it was not helpful nor were they going to help me in the future they told me that they could not give me the refund so I had to continue with the classes so as not to waste the money, they tell you many nice things for you to stay but nothing is like what they say, I feel that I lost my money there.
Warning this is going to be long but completely honest. Barbz definitely feels predatory and a scam. I was approached and called about a complimentary photoshoot which turned about to be false. There was no mention of payment or anything the few times they did call me. They also presented it as a workshop which is also false. They had me waiting for an hr and 30 mins after my scheduled appointment. For someone to only talk to me for 10-15 mins. When i asked about the tuition she danced around the topic, trying to lure me in with compliments that almost felt something similar to "love bombing" but in a professional sense. And then she said I HAD to agree to do the classes in order to do the photoshoot which literally said on the paper it was complimentary. To do the classes and photoshoot,
Went last year a total scam. They act like you they are interested in you and then ask you for money I could not pay for it because a REAL agency invests in you and later reaps the rewards. They got upset and even tried to get me to ask my friends for money for the class . And when I said I wasn’t doing that they took back the gift bag🤣 places like this just feed off people. They give real agencies a bad name or people fear of looking for more.
This place feels insanely predatory. One of their representatives essentially pressured me into giving her my information, and now they won’t stop harassing me over the phone and text to come to one of their classes.
