Customer Reviews
Bar J chili Parlor is a great stop in Occoquan to eat and chill! Chips were good sauce was good too with a spicy aftertaste. I enjoyed a delicious cheesy, onion, shredded chicken quesadilla that I dipped in guacamole 🥑 we also had chicken tenders which were good, the atmosphere overlooking the bay was awesome and our server Nate was GREAT!
I have eaten here several times. Most recently on a Wednesday for lunch. The server was excellent, as always seems to be the case. There were only a few customers so the food arrived quickly. There are lots of choices in Occoquan, but when I feel like eating Tex-Mex or Chili, Bar J never disappoints. In warmer weather sitting outside is very pleasant.
Came in with a group of 8 after doing some water sports and needed a casual place to eat at. The serving sizes were pretty big and the food was tasty. As the name implies, their chili is very good. The service sadly wasn’t very good, mostly due to lack of employees I would assume. But if you have time to kill and need a place to chill and eat, this place was a great place to come to!
I had a great experience here. The food was tasty and had fresh ingredients. I tried the wet burrito with beef and beans. Came out hot and fresh. The service from the staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back, hopefully to catch the taco Tuesday deals!!!
Great chili? Seriously? Cause I went on Taco Tuesdays for the first time and the waiter is excellent, but the food! Or meat which is the beef and chicken made for the tacos was disgusting! Sorry to say it...but It taste awful. Who can mess up a taco? Unbelievable. I suggest that the cook purchase Taco seasoning by "McCormick" at the grocery store, And do something because.... Whatever you have been doing when cooking the meat for tacos, please. STOP! Because it smells and looks like dog food! With no flavor. Try this: With McCormick, " taco seasoning powder"... All you have to do is add the seasoned powder and water 💧 That's it.! To create a sauce for the meat. You'll increase customer visits tremendously when the tacos start to taste better.. Unless it was done on purpose to keep p
