Banh Mi Hoa Phat 2

Good fresh Banh mi. Got the pork belly and a beef Bahn mi. They were both good. Flavorful and fresh is the best way to describe them. Comes in a neat lil box. Service was good and fast but not rushed. The place is plain so 2 stars for atmosphere but it's a grab and go kinda place. Will be back.

This is the second location as the same Banh Mi Hoa Phat on Garcelon Ave and Garfield Ave. More space but no tables as of the time of this review (1/4/2026). We tried the dac biet special and the tenderloin beef. The banh mi sandwiches are just as good as the original location, but feels like the bread is a bit smaller in size. They've also raised their prices at the original location, so I assume this second location reflects the same price increase. There's a parking lot to the side of the building that probably allows for 4-5 cars, but there's also some street parking. Glad that they opened this second location, and even happier that they open later to 6pm most days of the week.

So glad this place opened closer to my home. They are closed later and they just opened shop. I came around 5pm and their crispy pork banh mi usually sells out but was able to snag one. Its so good. Its identical to the montrery park one definitely will be my go to.

Guys, their Banh mi is SO good. The bread is baked fresh in house and with a good crunch! They fill the Banh mi with so much meat and the fresh carefully curated veggies on the side, very nice touch. I would say there isn’t a Banh mi shop with this quality of meat and bread around SGV. This is now my go-to Banh mi shop from now on!

Shoutout to the guy who works the register. He’s super nice and welcoming, and even offered us jasmine tea while we waited for our pickup order. I was made aware of this place from a YouTube channel (Vic and Jeff), and they’d gone to the Monterey Park location. One day, as I was google mapping to it, I saw that the San Gabriel location had just opened. Was so happy bc it’s much closer to me. Anyway, the food: the crispy pork banh mi is ridiculously good. Filled with so much pork, which is rare nowadays. I love that they keep the pickled veggies in a separate baggie so that the bread won’t get mushy as you transport the banh mi home. Super thoughtful. And the SAUCE — idk what the sauce is they give you on the side, but it’s so damn good. I’ve never been given a side of sauce to pour over th
