Bamboo Asian Cuisine

8/25 - Still fine Orange Chicken and House fried rice. # 3/25 - Chicken wings are so popular they are their own industry. Consumers don't associate Asian food with wings but they make really good ones, too. Bamboo's are a good example. # 10/24 - The sesame beef with white rice was tasty. # 9/24 - Revisiting Bamboo, their General Tso Chicken still delivers. The vegetable gyoza was enjoyed. Nice shumai and Szechuan steak. # 12/22 Take-out for 4. Best dish was the Thai chicken red curry. Sweet & Sour Chicken is consistently good. The Teriyaki Salmon was decent but had too many onions. Pork rolls were better than the spring rolls which were oily. House special fried rice was made well. The pork dumplings are on the smaller side. Wonton soup - fine. Timely service. $95. for four was surprising.

They added in a convenience fee in addition to the service fee. The convenience fee did not show at checkout, but was there on the email receipt. The convenience fee was added after ordering. I had to file complaints with my credit card company, the CT Department of Consumer Protection, and the Better Business Bureau. Still no offer to refund me the charge. I finally got a refund, not from the restaurant, but from the company that does their online ordering. The restaurant owners did not offer to refund me and have not been helpful at all. They just made excuses that business is tough and that I should understand them illegally charging me more than agreed.

I had a really disappointing experience with Bamboo Cuisine, especially considering this was the first time I decided to try this place. I was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived 35–40 minutes later, only to end up waiting another 20–25 minutes inside the restaurant. Shortly after placing the order, they called to say they were out of the chicken needed for my meals. I ordered General Tso’s chicken, Orange Chicken, and two Sesame Chickens. Since all of those use the same chicken before cooking, they told me they only had enough for three meals instead of four. I “took one for the team” and switched one order to Sweet & Sour Chicken. Great little find while we were camping at American Legion. The food was delicious. We had mango curry with brown rice and some miso soup. The owner, I assume, was very kind and checked in on us often. Quick service! Will definitely be back! When we finished, the sky was amazing ❤️

Very large portion sizes and delicious food! Food came out fast and well worth it l. Enjoyed shrimp platter with fried rice and salmon platter with fried rice. Great pricing and great food
