Baldwin City Beer Company

Barely made it before the happy hour ended, so I got a discounted beer. The IPA that isn't on the list was good. The atmosphere is nice. The waitress that we had was amazing, even with it being a fairly busy Friday evening. I had the Cheesesteak and my SO had the fried chicken that was on special. We were both impressed with the flavor and quality of the food. We will be eating here again.

Great service. It wasn't very busy on a Saturday at 6 pm, that should have been my first clue. We were seated right away, chose an outside table, nothing to get excited about. Our server was prompt, friendly and answered all our questions. A couple of us were looking at items with brisket and she informed us that they weren't serving that at the restaurant anymore. We had fried pickles, it was a large order, hot and tasted fine. Pretzel bites, they were good. 2 of us ended up with fish and chips. Yuck, the breading was thick, didn't care for the seasoning. The fries, I mean the "Famous Fries" were not fresh and soggy. Are the fries famous for the pour quality? Tots were crispy, burgers were good. 1st time and last time to visit Baldwin City Beer Co.

I got one each of the street tacos. The brisket one was super chewy and I couldn't even eat it. The chicken one had really no flavor and was dry. Now the pulled pork one was on point. I will definitely go back for the pulled pork tacos.

Super bummed about this one. This was our 3rd time here and have had a good amount of their beers. On this last visit, we ordered the honey wheat and berry weiss. We made a comment to the person serving us that both of our beers tasted strongly of plastic. There were no other discernible flavors. Our server apologized, said my beer was the last of the keg and offered that as a possibility for the off taste but wasn’t sure why our other beer would taste off. Our server was extremely gaslighty, suggesting that we just have to try enough beers to find something we like. They were otherwise kind so I attempted to politely let them know that i am a big beer drinker and know for a fact there’s something wrong with these beers. They offered to take our beers off our bill so we tried something els

Service was very slow, and when the food came out my chicken was way overcooked and none of our salads had the correct dressing. When we got the bill we had extra charges for extra dressing for the original dressing we had ordered. I made a note of it to the staff and Shift Lead who gave no feedback as to how it was going to be handled, very awkward customer service. Will not be returning.
