Our go to for Mexican restaurants in CT. It’s located in a small strip center that is easy to miss. Look for the party store which is next door. On this visit, Megan was our server. We were greeted immediately and had drinks on the table before we could open our menus lol. The decor isn’t anything special but the food and service is always amazing and yesterday was no exception. We had crunchy shredded beef tacos and bean burritos. The crunchy tacos always amaze us as they are consistently crunchy as opposed to others which seem to be soggy at delivery. The bean and cheese burritos have so much flavor. When you add your choice of salsas from their salsa bar it just grts better. Baja’s has been my go-to Mexican restaurant for 18 years, and it never fails to impress. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can taste the quality in every dish. The portions are generous, the margaritas are the BEST, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. It’s rare to find a restaurant that maintains this level of quality year after year. After being a patron of Bajas for over 10 years Ive never had complaints the food and lady at the front have always been the best. She would recognize us always treat us kindly and with respect! Today I had the worst experience at a food establishment in my life. My husband daughter and I went to sit down for dinner. We kindly asked our young waitress for solo-to-go ounce containers for our salsa. If you've been to Bajas you know the salsa bar is a must! After we asked for our cups for salsa a gentleman walked over to us speaking to us in spanish, which I felt was derogatory since I am american and English is my first language, he then proceeded to explain in horrible spanish that the cups were not able to be given to me without a surcharge. This is literally the best meal I've had in over a decade. The chicken tacos priced at 4 bucks a piece were inexcusably good. The hot sauce bar will light your mouth in fire if you're not careful and I couldn't be more thrilled. The owner introduced himself to us and I wish he was there when I finished eating so I could shake his hand. I literally took the time to thank everyone in the restaurant and the chef through the window... I've never done this before. It's a no frills place. Amazing food, amazing drinks and I'll be going back there as frequently as possible.

My favorite place for over 30 years! We come once a week (sometimes twice 😉) my entire family! Never had a bad meal or bad service. And their margaritas 👌🏼 The BEST!!! Can’t recommend Baja’s enough!!! I tell anyone who will listen. There are no other mexican places around that can top it! Bob is a LEGEND. His wife, too.
