Mai Thai Restaurant - Thai & Ramen & Asian Food & Boba Bubble Tea Drinks

Our first visit to Mai Thai... super cute ambience. Yummy thai iced tea, Shirley temple. Spring rills were flavorful and tasty. Drunken noodles , great flavor - chicken was not as fresh as I am used to, basil veggies were good. Our server was SUPER NICE. We enjoyed our visit.

I had my most disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered a noodle with shrimp and pad thai with beef. The first bite of the shrimp immediately made both of us feel nauseous. It tasted extremely undercooked, almost raw, and had no flavor at all. We even asked the server to taste it, and he tasted a bite and claimed there was nothing wrong with it. The beef was the same, it tasted like expired meat. The server explained that it was just a seasoning issue and that sesame oil had been added. However, I have eaten a large amount of Thai food and am very familiar with Thai flavors. This was absolutely not a normal Thai seasoning issue. The service attitude was also extremely poor. I have ordered milk teas to go a couple times from this place and decided that I should try the food and it did not disappoint. The portions and prices are so great. They have a big menu and pictures to help you pick. The food came out so fast and the waitress was so friendly. I got another milk tea and was very satisfied.

I ordered...Thai fried rice with chkn & pork price $18. As you can see, no pork was added. Chicken wings was tasty(sorry no pic), but the price $11 for 5 small pieces.

My initial and only visit to Mai Thai Restaurant was pleasant. Service was pretty good. Their menu is pretty extensive in dishes they offer along with their drinks menu. Prices are affordable. Their plating presentation is very appealing to the eye when served-only thing “catchy” to me. Pallet wise for me, it was “classic” as I chose common dishes I’d typically have upon trying a new place for the first time. Nothing stuck out/wowed me in uniqueness taste wise that I’d want to visit often.
