Backdraft Barbeque at Third Street Station

Wow! The best BBQ experience I’ve had in the US so far! And I say that as someone who lives in Austin, where good BBQ is everywhere. We had the 2 in 2 out brisket sandwich — unbelievably juicy and flavorful. We also had the pork ribs which were tender, soft, and absolutely melt‑in‑your‑mouth delicious. Also their homemade bbq sauce is pure gold. If I could, I’d eat here every single day. It’s worth coming all the way to Roswell, NM just to try this place and meet the amazing people who run it. Hats off to them, truly exceptional!

While visiting from California, we decided to drop in and try this place out. I had the combo plate with ribs, pulled pork and the cheddar jalapeno sausage with a side of baked beans and potato salad. Ribs were fall off the bone tender, pulled pork was amazing, (wanted to try the brisket but they were sold out, I was told that goes quick) sausage was good not too spicy. Sweet tea was amazing with an in house made coconut simple syrup, very refreshing. The green chile corn was really good too. DJ our server was very nice, polite and informative. Leah (I hope I spelled her name right) was very nice and Paul the owner was cool, even gave us a small tour of the venue area. I ended up buying one of their shirts to remember our experience. Defintely one of the best BBQ spots I've ever eaten at.

These men are the heartbeat and soul of the meticulously BEST smoked meats in SE New Mexico. The bark on the brisket stands alone in this world. I can speak greatly about the appreciation the owner has for his business. A man that understands the craft. The staff were very informative and engaged with the customers. It was refreshing to be a part of. Roswell is blessed to have this venue in their back yard. I look forward to returning already.

It's ashame that I've been in Roswell for 3 weeks and found out about this place 2 days before we're to leave. I opted for the Sampler which consisted of brisket, ribs and a jalapeno cheddar sausage link. Talk about fall off the bone ribs! The meat just slid right off leaving the bone perfectly clean! The brisket had a nice bark and perfect smoke ring. The taste was amazing! The sausage has a great bite to it and would actually be fantastic in a bun. This place is a little hidden from all the other restaurants on Main Street but definitely seek it out. It's only two blocks east of Main and Third Street in a warehouse looking building which also gives this place lots of character.

Ordered the 2 in 2 out sandwich meat choice of brisket, it was out of this world flavor!!! Met the wonderful owner Paul who gave us a tour of the beautiful vip space. Our server DJ recommended the best sandwich on the menu which was incredible!
