The food was so yummy I ate half of it before getting a photo! It was my first time eating West African food and I will definitely be back to explore the menu more. Service was great, staff was super kind, and the food was so so delicious. EDIT- I came back a week later because I was so excited to explore more of the menu: first time trying fufu- I went with cassava and lamb/okra stew- and it exceeded my expectations. I even got to try the hibiscus and pineapple juice- WONDERFUL. I’m convinced you can’t go wrong here. If you want to try something delicious and new, this is the spot!

Came to Azara to try Fufu for the first time. Our server was knowledgeable, kind and gave great recommendations. I’ve seen many reviews stating there was a bit of a wait for their food. While there was only one server, I felt that they did a great job attending to all patrons at a reasonable pace. Also, it’s evident the food is made to order, so we didn’t mind the (short) wait time. Will def return again!

I had never tried West African food before, but the server helped me decide on a dish for my maiden voyage. She also told me about the history of the restaurant and how the owner filled the menu with his fave dishes from childhood. I settled on the jollaf rice with branzino. It was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

We happened to come across this amazing place and we couldn't have been happier! It's small, gorgeous and the best background music. All the food was perfect and we tried all new things. The chef came out after our meal to check on us and we were able to rave about the food and experience. Highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant! My friend had his birthday dinner here and the staff was so friendly and kind, and the owner was constantly making sure we were good. The food was amazing as well! I loved the Dibi Lamb, the Bissap and Ginger juices tasted so nice, but the suya was phenomenal. Also, they make a fantastic Tiramisu cake!! Highly recommend and you’ll enjoy your time here :)
