Not sure how this place has any good reviews. I stopped by yesterday with a few friends looking for a quick and easy meal and only 2 of us ended up ordering because of high prices and long wait time even though we were the only people there. To start, only one order was taken/cooked at a time, so it was 10+ minutes between even being able to order. I appreciate that the food is cooked to order, but a few of us wanted the same thing so it would have been way more efficient to do a few orders together. The prices aren’t listed on the menu, and we never would have ordered if we knew it was $25 per plate. After ordering, we thought maybe it would be a huge, shareable portion for that price. I am so excited to see Peruvian food finally came to Summit County. The true fish ceviche did not disappoint. I prefer it hot spicy but always start with medium heat when trying a new restaurant. I like it hot and next time I know to order it hotter, but it was still DELICIOUS. The fried chicken and rice had amazing consistency and incredible flavor. Highly recommend!! You can take the food to go, or go sit inside Thirsty Pika and treat yourself to a beer or cocktail while you eat delicious food!!

We had a great meal consisting of the Ceviche and the fried rice. Portions were good and the flavor was outstanding. We will definitely make this a regular spot when we crave Peruvian cuisine. This tops the Peruvian restaurants in the Denver area.

Ordered the Lomo Saltado for dinner today, it was so yummy and a great portion. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Although it’s super complicated to get the ingredients to make a Peruvian dish in the Rockies, this guys succeeded! Awesome service. I highly appreciate this brothers hustle!
