A&W Restaurant

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent visit to your A&W location today at approximately 11:00 a.m. This was my first time dining at A&W, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing overall. Upon arrival, I explained to the manager that it was our first visit. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, the manager was snippy and impatient, which immediately set a negative tone. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also a major concern. Several tables and the floor were dirty, there were visible handprints on the windows, and the seats had what appeared to be ice cream residue on them. Absolutely filthy! Stopped in to grab a bite, and so glad I did (as opposed to the drive through)! Nobody at counter, tried to find their new fish sandwich they had advertised on sign, but not on the menu screen... Decided to wash my hands, first, since no one was at counter... Washroom looked like it came out of a 1980's horror film abandoned gas station set! Toilet hadn't been flushed, or cleaned in only God knows how long. Original looked like a crime scene. As I was leaving, headed back to front of restaurant, noticed young man (presumably a cook) refilling his soda, before returning to kitchen through back door. His fingernails were long and dirty. There was still no one at the counter, which was just as well, I wasn't going to order anything, after seeing all this.

Sunday evening, we stopped with the little dude for food. The workers are friendly. That's the best thing I can say. The food was not very good, burgers thrown together haphazardly. My son's fries were cold and didn't seem to be fully cooked. My chili cheese fries were questionable. The fries tasted like they'd thawed and been refrozen before being dropped in the fryer. The chili on top of the fries was less than palatable "gas station" chili for lack of a better term. Probably won't be going back, which is sad. Visited other locations as a kid, they're different now.

This was a fun little place with nice staff! Was clean and had some yummy fried food that hit the spot. Quick service! Of course always love a root beer float from A&W!

I love A&W restaurants but I can’t order online and that’s silly for a franchise like this. I’m probably not coming back, not because it was bad but this convenient fast food place is not convenient or fast.
