This 16 oz. container of Frozen Hand Shucked Chopped Sea Clams and sold under their ‘Galilean Seafoods’ brand makes for a delicious chowder at anytime of the year. Melt a half stick of butter, add 2 slices of diced smoked bacon(easier to cut up if slightly frozen at first), diced onion, add enough water to just cover the cubed Yukon Gold potatoes and add a crushed clove of garlic. Don’t overcook the potatoes. Add milk, half and half or evaporated milk. I chop the clams with this nifty salad cutter, right in its own container, and add it to the pot and simmer. If you boil it, the milk will separate and it’ll look lousy. To thicken, make a roux, add some chowder liquid to blend, then back into the pot.
