Astoria Inn Knox

I'm not sure how anyone is giving this a good review. The place looks like a abandoned hotel being rented out. My key cards never worked so since it was so late I just asked the guy up front to let me in and lock me into the room. I was upgraded to Jacuzzi room but also told the Jacuzzi doesn't work so I'm guessing the other room wasn't liveable. In fairness the old man running the counter was kind and trying his best but this place is unbelievably damp, broken, and sketchy. I also had to sign the card machine, sign the receipt, and sign a digital pad all for the same charge....not sure what that was about.

What can I say about the Astoria in Knox Indiana? I stayed here several years ago and said I wouldn't do it again. I did however stay again and I was hoping it was better but it's not. The air conditioning does work, the cable does not, the towels are very thin and the beds are very hard. The staff seems nice enough but not forthcoming with when the cable will be fixed. Even though I was handed a remote upon checking just in case it might work, it didn't. They do have Wi-Fi but it's not password protected making it unsafe. The rooms need updating badly however they appeared clean except for the filters in the bathroom and bedroom, they needed cleaning. I was in Astoria inn 10years ago and I can see the difference,they remodeled the place,the room is clean,the girl in front desk is nice. I recommend this place.only hotel in Knox is clean and decent.

Stayed here with my mom and we had a few special requests that they were able to accommodate. They brought up the past negative reviews and mentioned that they’ve updated accordingly (my words- I forget how they worded it). I would stay here again, gladly. I recommend it.

The gentleman and front desk girl was a big help when I lock my keys in my car. They tried to help me get them out before I had to call somebody to do it. This is one of the better hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
