Asante Library

Very nice library! Appears to have some themed activities for the season, some crafts for kids, study rooms, tables, chairs, computers for whatever you may want to come to the library to do. Also appeared to have decent selection of movies, music, and of course books. Side note for people coming in to study on the outer edge with the concrete floor - chairs are SO LOUD to move when you pull them out. Prepare to pick up your chair to move unless you are on a carpeted area.

This is a great place for kids. The kids corner has lots of fun toys to play with: a duplo wall, felt board, magnetic tiles, coloring, a pretend kitchen, etc. However, the selection of kids books is pretty small, as it is a smaller library. And I agree with the other reviews that stated it’s not a great place to study. The study rooms are glass on all sides and right next to the kids corner. Not sure why that’s the case, the kids are definitely noisy and it gets crowded at storytime. If you’re looking for a cool, indoor place for kids to play, definitely try it out!

We love Asante library! When we first moved here they introduced themselves as "small but mighty" and honestly that's exactly true. Even coming from King county library system I am quite impressed with the way the operate. Actually, the library is the perfect size because it's not so overwhelming. But I love the clean modern style of the building and how much light there is. Also love that it's right by Asante Park so sensory seeking kids can go outside to burn off energy. And vice versa you can come in to cool down. Their materials are quite diverse and we've even checked out a telescope and a record player before ! So cool.
