Arties South Shore Fish Market and Grill

My wife, son and I just ate at this charming local fish market and restaurant. Our food was fresh and delicious. This is not a fancy seafood restaurant, but the food made up for the lack of ambience. Prices were very reasonable for seafood and the service was great. I’ll definitely eat here again. And you can also stop in just to purchase fresh fish!!

It's unreal people think unless their plate is loaded with salt, it doesn't have flavor. I came with my kids because we wanted to try a new seafood place. We are big seafood eaters as even my 6 year old daughter loves steamers. We have two wild daughters and the waiter Pete was great. He gave them a coloring book and things to play with to keep them busy and the staff was very patient and family-like. The food was absolutely delicious and the fish was unbelievably fresh. My wife got the flounder oreganata and it could have used a little more sauce but it was no issue when she asked for it. I got the fish and chips, which has to be very good for me to enjoy it. It was lightly breaded and melted in my mouth. Just everything was very good. I highly recommend eating here.

Second time I’ve been here. Service is so slow. Today being one of the hottest day there is no a/c just ceiling fans (see windows open). So warm in here I feel nauseous. Waiting over a hour and 10 minutes for food when we decided to leave. Waitress disappeared we had to ask the little girl who helps out to get us our drinks. Will never come back.

I would give this 0 stars if i could! BURNT FOOD! Also there was no one to refill waters or ask if the service is good. They also didn’t have some things in stock. Things were also mad expensive! The wait time was forever, also if you wanted your salad and appetizers first you need to ask. I thought that was normal.Come here if you want burnt shrimp and dry fish with no seasoning!

We went here because so many of our friends told it was so good. Unfortunately that was not our experience. The octopus salad was flavorless and the octopus was tough. My husband order a shrimp dish and when he said he wanted it stuffed the waiter told him only 3 shrimp would be in his dish. He figured it would be 3 large shrimp stuffed . Instead the shrimp was a peel and eat shrimp with the skin still on covered with a clump of breadcrumbs and some crabmeat. The Gorgonzola mussels were excellent, which is the only reason I didn’t give one star . I ordered red snapper oreganata , baked potato and Brussels sprouts. The waiter brought out salmon. When I told him I ordered snapper he was rude but everyone at the table told him I ordered snapper. My meal came out after everyone had long finis
