Arlowe's Bakehouse

The family and I love Arlowes. We were pleasantly surprised at finding such a wonderful bakery when we moved to the area. I had lost faith in good focaccia until I saw a glorious loaf calling my name. We also thoroughly enjoy the sourdough bread, bagels cookies, pizza and cream puffs.. look, I'm just listing everything they sell at this point. They do sell out quickly so go early if you can. I don't much mind that they sell out of products as everything is fresh and it gives me an opportunity to try out other things.

Stopped in on a whim for bagels around 1:00pm or so without expecting much. Fortunately there was still a plain and everything left. Both my wife and I agree that these sourdough bagels are absolutely amazing after the first bite. Perfect density, freshness, taste, crunch. We were greeted and served right away upon entering and that was just wonderful. Fantastic job, Arlowe! I can’t wait to stop in again!

This small batch bakery is the perfect place to spoil yourself with something sweet or savory. They had about 12 different items to display plus bread, which I was told is a smaller selection due to it being Thursday. I tried their brownie, a deep rich cakey choclate that almost had a sweet dark cherry taste to it, a peach cream puff which was simply amazing in flavor with light fluffy cream and fresh peaches, and the last item was a ham and cheese honey mustard crescent roll pastry that was delicious. Their prices are reasonable for a fresh small batch bakery, 2.50 for a huge cookie and the rest averaged $5 per pastry or treat, their bread averaged $10-12. The service was super friendly. Highly suggest going.

This bakery has an industrial vibe, with little to no seating area. Their baked options vary- my favorite, cheese danish- is the best, flaky crust and creamy filling, but not available everyday. Our group raved about the scones and the cinnamon rolls were so good, I didn't even add the icing.

Home baked goodness in Ellijay! If you’re looking for beautifully baked treats made with love, this is the place. Fresh scones, breads, bagels (with homemade veggie cream cheese) and so much more. Bagels are baked to perfection with that slight crisp on the outside. Hands down, the best rice crispy treat we’ve ever had and the espresso brownie, to die for. Get there early for samples and best selection! Owner is super sweet and clearly talented.
