Applebee's Grill + Bar

Oliver you bring me great joy. You fuel my friends with straws to create glorious art. You also bring us our food at times that you are are server which has been around 1 time. You sang me happy birthday alone which was also ong pretty awesome.

Server was polite but when I looked at my bank account, a few extra dollars were added compared to what I wrote and took a picture of on the receipt…interesting. The mashed potatoes looked like they came out of a plastic sandwich bag. Despite my server saying that the kitchen was slow, the food didn’t take that long. Due to what I wrote on the receipt and what I was charged, I will not be going back to this location.

Bartender was 10/10... He was super friendly. Manager was 10/10... They both got on a personal level with me and were very friendly. The kind of place that makes you wanna come back. ..The food was 6/10. Wasn't bad but could've been better..

We dropped by around noon on a weekday. As soon as we walked in, a waiter came up and greeted us. We could make a choice to sit either at the bar or at a booth. They had a ranged selection of pasta, burgers, steaks, seafood, and more. And the price was very reasonable. It was a bit challenging to grab the server's attention, but whenever we could, the service was nice and pleasant.

New Ulm is not a big town and does offer options for a foodie destination but is not what the likes of living in the Bay Area California has to offer. With that said, my foodie sister who has visited New Ulm frequently insisted that we have a sitting at the Applebee's here. As this is a nationwide chain, it is a well known entity and I was curious to see what they had to offer which impressed my sister so much. This is my experience. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was very genuinely friendly and responsive and was the highlight of the visit. The food was served quickly and presented beautifully. Everything was good but nothing was eye opening or notable. I don't say this in any negative way. My sister insists that the New Ulm offering is better than the Bay Area ones but not
