Applebee's Grill + Bar

Stopped by Applebee's in Hammond for 2nd time. Our 1st visit there was a dismal failure!! Upon receiving a call from Luke, the Manager, he asked us to give them another chance and he would comp the meal. I ordered the Bourbon Street steak w/ mashed potatoes. My husband had the Quesadilla burger w/ fries. After a LONG WAIT... the manager on duty brought out our meals. My Bourbon Street steak with mashed potatoes was SHOCKING!!! The mashed potatoes came straight from the refrigerator!!!!!! I gave my husband a bite to verify I was correct!! REFRIGERATOR COLD!!!!! The server came back and ask abt our meals. The food was great today! Had the white cheddar chicken sizzler w/ mashed potatoes, broccoli, and fried onion bits on top through the "two for 25" deal. Also had a house salad w/ honey mustard. The Bourbon Street chicken w/ shrimp is solid as well. Lastly, I just wanted to give high praise for our servers both times we came this way: Brandon and Justin. He is excellent and passionate about the customer.

I went around 2:00 it was quite the service was excellent and my waitress Joslyn was efficient. I had the bourbon chicken and shrimp and had no complaints.

The visit started out pleasant until we started to eat the food look good and smell delicious!! On my fork I was about to put in my mouth had something on it ! Inside my mash potatoes 🥔 I thought it was hair it turned out too be from a grill brush in other words a piece of wire 😡 the manager never came out or said anything but a second hand message we can fix the meal over or offer something else. At this point what if I had eaten that peice of wire ?

The ribs was fall off the bone they was so tender. The shrimp was crunchy. Try the hot honey chicken breast with bacon!! The restaurant was friendly bathroom’s could have been a little cleaner.
