I stopped by on 09/16/25 around 12:30pm to buy their sticky rice in lotus leaf. The bakery was empty, with only the owner and counter worker chatting. I don’t come to Chinatown often these days, but I used to be a regular before Covid. I asked a simple question about whether the price or ingredients had changed. The owner gave me a nasty side-eye and couldn’t be bothered, while the counter worker acted like I was asking something ridiculous. The price jumped from $2.30 to $3.75. What makes it worse is that the filling used to be generous — quail egg, chicken, roast pork, and Chinese sausage. Now it’s just a rice ball with one piece of roast pork, a slice of Chinese sausage, and some sauce thrown in. This is a small, dingy bakery with nothing special to offer. So why the arrogance? Local spot. Dark roast coffee on drip is very drinkable. Buns are dope. Not every coffee and snack has to come from a hipster spot.

A spot for locals and the brave tourists who venture to the area! Classics like pineapple bun and roast pork bun. Not the combo offered by my other favorite Chinatown bakery. For early risers, this place is open by 430am and those who know come here for the fresh baked/steamed goods and Chinatown coffee milk tea drink.

As somebody who has NO IDEA what anything was the lady at the front was a sweetheart and guided me through the menu and what to try. I tried the honey tea, sticky rice stuffed with quail egg and a dessert i have no idea what the name is but it's delicious!!! Haha. Thank you for being so kind to me.

Had coffee and tarts from here. It's one less expensive options in the area and tastes great. Place is always crowded with local folks.
